Our School Partnerships

At Primary Education Group, we believe strong educational consulting begins with a deep understanding of schools and the communities they serve. Over the years, we have built meaningful relationships with independent schools and admission professionals across the regions where we work. We value these relationships and the shared commitment to helping children and families find educational environments where they can thrive.

Getting to Know Schools

We believe great educational consulting starts with truly knowing schools. Many of our consultants bring firsthand experience from independent school communities, including previous roles in admission offices, teaching, and other areas of school life. This experience gives our team a valuable understanding of both the admission process and how independent schools support students and families.

At Primary Education Group, every consultant is committed to continually deepening their knowledge of the schools in the communities they serve. Our consultants regularly visit schools, attend admission and community events, and connect with admission professionals, educators, and school leaders. We take the time to learn about each school’s educational philosophy, academic approach, culture, community, and the types of learners who may thrive there, while staying informed about new program, admission updates, and other developments whithin the school community.

We believe this firsthand knowledge is essential to providing thoughtful and responsible guidance. The better we understand a school, the better we can help families look beyond rankings or name recognition and identify schools that genuinely align with their child’s needs, strengths, personality, and goals.

Connecting Schools and Families

We also work to help families better understand the wide range of educational opportunities available in their communities. Each year, we host free educational webinars  and community programs that help parents understand the K–12 admission process, explore different independent school models and educational philosophies, and learn what makes each school and its community unique.

In 2026, we are hosting a five-part webinar series focused on the PK–8 school model, joined by 16 independent PK–8 schools across the DMV area. The series gives families an opportunity to hear directly from school leaders, learn about the benefits and unique characteristics of the PK–8 model, and discover the many different school communities available throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Through programs like these, we hope to make information about independent schools more accessible to families, help parents discover schools they may not otherwise have considered, and give schools an opportunity to share their programs, educational philosophies, and communities directly with local families.

Engaging with the School Community

Our involvement with schools extends beyond the admission process. Our consultants regularly participate in school visits, professional gatherings, educational events, and community initiatives. We value opportunities to learn from educators and school leaders, exchange perspectives on trends affecting K–12 education, and contribute to the broader educational community.

We also look for ways to support and strengthen the school communities we work with, whether through educational programming, community events, professional collaboration, or helping schools connect with families who may be a strong fit for their programs.

We welcome opportunities to connect with schools, learn more about their programs, arrange consultant visits, collaborate on educational programming, and find new ways to support the independent school community.
